این اثر با الهام از شخصیت گردآفرید در شاهنامه فردوسی خلق شده است؛ زنی که در ادبیات حماسی ایران نماد شجاعت، خرد و ایستادگی است. نقاشی با بهره‌گیری از عناصر بصری هنر ایرانی و رویکردی معاصر، لحظه‌ای از قدرت و اراده او را بازنمایی می‌کند.گردآفرید در این اثر تنها یک قهرمان اسطوره‌ای نیست، بلکه نمادی از توانمندی انسان در رویارویی با چالش‌ها و دفاع از هویت و ارزش‌های خویش است. این اثر ادای احترامی است به میراث فرهنگی ایران و نقش ماندگار زنان در روایت‌های حماسی و تاریخی.
