A wall collapsed within me.Beyond the fracture,someone was there.The presence of the tree frogset the body of the tree trembling.The song of the cicadaswas at war with the logic of my perception.For a fleeting, fragile moment,something ran across the meadow of my imagination.Then the wind carried a child upon a silken cloudand seated them before my awakening.A tiny bell slipped into the darkness.The little shepherd whispered:“Gather your flock,before your flame goes out.The wolves are waitingin the darkness of the plain.Pause for a moment…then smile for a long while.Do not be afraid.
Morning will come.”.
